Micronetics Design and Manufacturing Capabilities BriefOur combined facilities include a 100,000+ square foot assembly, design and test areas, with additional space available for expansion as our business grows. Two of our facilities, New Hampshire and New Jersey, both maintain modern class 10,000 (less than 10,000 particles per cubic foot) clean rooms.
Micronetics microelectronics assembly areas are outfitted with the latest equipment including ball and wedge wire bonders, micro-welding equipment,
conveyerized eutectic brazing equipment, wire bond pull testers, etc. The test area is equipped with fully computerized, state-of-the-art microwave test
stations. Each station has a comprehensive set of equipment that enables us to perform all required forms of microwave characterization and test.
Our facilities offer complete in-house environmental screening in accordance with MIL-PRF-38534 including fine/gross leak, burn-in, thermal cycling, vacuum bake, constant acceleration and thermal shock. Other tests, such as mechanical shock, vibration, and EMI are currently performed at accredited outside facilities. Design ToolsTo support our design process, Micronetics and each division, uses a comprehensive and state-of-the-art set of design tools. A summary of the CAD tools we routinely use as part of our design process is as follows:
Manufacturing and Engineering capabilitiesMicronetics and each of its wholly owned subsidiaries maintain a stringent "manufacturing engineering" process that assures a smooth and successful transition of our products from the design engineering and development phase to the production manufacturing phase. We employ a well defined, documented, and proven design process that is utilized for the development of all our products. Our ISO-9001:2008 quality management system dictates that all our products are manufactured in strict accordance with formally documented configuration controlled processes and procedures. It is our strict adherence to these design processes that guarantees a successful transition from engineering to production.Starting with the very intial phases of the engineering design, the producibility, reliability, and cost of our design approach are taken into consideration. Our quality, operations and manufacturing staff are intimately involved in the evaluation of our designs and they participate in all engineering design reviews. From years of experience designing and manufacturing complex, multi-function RF/microwave assemblies for high-reliability military applications, we have become very knowledgable regarding the component designs, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes that result in the most producible, reliable, spec-compliant, and cost effective products for our customers.
