Micronetics Introduces Built-In Test Module
SEATTLE, WA -- (BUSINESSWIRE) -- June 4, 2002 -- Micronetics Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ/NOIZ) announced today that it introduced a new low cost built-in test module for the personal communication systems (PCS), wireless local loop (WLL) and other communication markets.

This built-in test module combines a switch, attenuator and noise source in a small package. If used in a PCS system, it can pre-calibrate sensitive equipment or aid in site analysis, helping to pinpoint the ideal base station location. If used in a WLL system, it can be integrated into a wide range of RF equipment from radios and subscriber units to antenna distribution units found at both the mobil telephone switching office (MTSO) and the cell site. Once installed, Micronetics' built-in test module provides an internal calibration function, continuously checking system gain and sensitivity.

Stuart Bernstein, Vice President, stated, "Our built-in test module can be purchased as a single integrated assembly or in separate packages, if only the switch or attenuator portion are required since a separate test source is available. Certain customers only use the switch and attenuator; certain other customers use only the noise source without the switch. One of the keys to the uniqueness of this module is that we can easily furnish a customer only the parts of it he requires. We offer this module in many low cost packages that make it easy to integrate into many different types of systems."
